These Corona Times have impacted a lot on the fashion lifestyle of the people. It might be tough for you to deal with these sudden and dramatic changes to how we live. The coronavirus has resulted in countless changes in our daily life.
Movie halls, schools, colleges where generally people gather are being shut down in different parts of our country. Many big events both national and international events such as IPL, UEFA, NBA, ATP, and Coachella have been canceled by the organizers as per the directives of the Government.
Just like every industry got affected adversely because of this even the Fashion Industry got affected. Now Let’s take a look at how the pandemic has affected the fashion industry. COVID-19 has led to the cancellation of many fashion weeks that would have been organized across the world.
The COVID-19 crisis has made fashion and textile companies refocus their businesses on other things such as a mask or hospital gowns other than the regular fashion objects like shoes, shirts, etc which they would generally focus on making.
They have been united and aligned with a common goal of making a sufficient number of face masks and hospital gowns to address the current demand for them on an urgent basis. This deficiency includes medical-grade N95 masks to filter about 95% of airborne particles as well as reusable cloth masks, which offer a layer of protection to food workers and senior citizens as well as anyone going out to the grocery store.
Major fashion brands are stepping in to help gather or make these much-needed supplies. Italian brand Prada shared that it’s producing a run of 80,000 overalls and 110,000 face masks at one of its factories for Italian medical personnel.
The growing virus threat chased the luxury fashion world from Milan to Paris. A real crisis looms for designers and shoppers. Fashion brands are offering steep discounts and pushing sales online amid an inventory pile up due to the closure of stores nationwide following the COVID-19 virus outbreak.
Brands such as Gap, Hummel, Adidas, Aeropostale, and Asics, among others, are giving discounts of 30-60% on various products. Even though you might shop staying at home ordering them online you might not be wearing them because almost all the companies have made their employees work from home because of this virus crisis when you might be comfortable wearing pajamas.
Some Suggestions To Stay Safe:
While such big brands are coming forward to help in a pandemic situation, we can at least stay at home and help our country to fight against this deadly virus. Try to stay indoors and come out only for the daily essentials that too when needed only. This way you can stay safe and keep the country safe as well without giving the virus a chance to spread among the people of the country.
Ensure to wear an N95 mask or a surgical mask when going out and carry a sanitizer with you to sanitize your hands frequently to reduce the chance of getting infected from the virus. After returning back to your home, make sure to wash your hands, face properly with a good soap.
COVID19 has affected many industries among which the fashion industry is also one. Many fashion weeks have got canceled because of this. Even big brands have stopped their productions closing their units because most of the fashion stores have closed across the world. The store workers have been sent on leave because there were no business operations going on.
We at Just Designs Institute, also suggest to stay home and stay safe.
